A very special thanks to Ferry Elementary and Lake Hills Elementary (Grand Haven Public Schools) for a "Marvel Team-up style" double school visit. Ryan had fun at Ferry in the morning, and had fun with Lake Hills in the afternoon presenting all about A Curious Glimpse of Michigan.

Ryan presented to the parents and K-3rd grade students of Shabazz Public School Acadamy in Lansing, MI. Thanks to the school for such a warm welcome! Ryan will be returning on November 15 to speak to the 4th-6th graders.

Ryan had a very busy week. He presented at the Michigan Association for Media in Education annual conference in beautiful Traverse City on the subject of his comic book class that he taught this past summer and this Fall with his colleagues at Maple Street School. Then Ryan presented this weekend at Grand Valley State University's Celebrate Literacy conference.
Ryan will be making the rounds the next few weeks at schools across West Michigan and beyond. Drop Ryan a line if you are a teacher or parent interested in having him appear at your student's school!
SCHEDULE
Ryan will be presenting at the Grand Rapids Art Museum to celebrate their gala opening in October with a special theme - local authors. The museum will be displaying work by East Grand Rapids native Chris VanAllsburg , author and illustrator of Jumanji, the Polar Express, and Zathura.
The event is on October 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Ryan will be sharing with the audience his life as a kids book maker. Hope to see you there.
